Summer is a wonderful season! Most of the folks might agree with me at the point that long days provide you lots of time to enjoy your favorite activities at home (& outdoor too). No matter who are you, a school going kid or just a housewife. To get the best excitement & fun of summer I always suggest going for an exclusive summer renovation plan at your home. Summer makeover is all about bringing a fresh look to the interior of the house. & off course! Making your home more comfortable, by adding climate control, cooling system, swimming pools renovation, applying fresh colors themes on walls & adding other summer accessories. Here are few tips you can follow to get better results in making your house more beautiful in summers. People from relatively hotter places across the world also check these tips for giving their house with a fresh look.

The first thing you can start with is the color theme of your house, specially the colors of walls at your bedroom & drawing room. if you feel that it is giving a dull impression, Try out different light & bright colors like white, sky blue, baby pink, light green.. However! to give a sparkle and bright effect to your room. I always suggest white in the summers. You can also use colorful custom wallpapers if you are intended to make something exclusive in your bedroom. moreover try adding the furniture in contrast with the walls color.

Give a little attention to flooring also. Check the tiles at bathrooms & kitchen. Replace broken tiles or if your budget allows, renew the old tiles with fresh tiles. Moreover if the floor is wooden or bamboo. Polish it. Don’t opt for carpeting flooring in summers. It creates heats & dust so I didn’t suggest it for summers. add a couple of indoor plants..

The garden: Yes this is the place where you are expected to spend a part of your day. Try adding some new plants in the gardens. Buy a set of elegant garden furniture if you find the old one rusty. Make proper arrangements for watering the plants. Specially the garden grass, which is surely the center of attraction in summers.

Decorate the terrace with fresh money plants; you will feel a more refreshing day while gazing outside from the terrace of your house. Add windows Blinds for a gentle & fresh wake-up. Probably a green one will work more efficient. Moreover a home insulation works better to make your house cooler in summers. Cleaning up the swimming pools & renewing bathtub & showers (if necessary) are another important element of home makeover in summer.

Sliding doors! The best solution to save space.

Buying large houses is surely a difficult task due to the increasing prices of property these days, however weather it is buying or renting, people having middle class financial status always seek to get a relatively smaller house to accommodate their families in a given budget. For saving space, in small houses & apartments I found sliding doors a very useful solution to maximize space if you have shortage of area inside your new house.  The latest models in sliding doors are just awesome, framed in aluminum or wood, to increase the elegance, some sliding doors are provided with a glass coated steel foil.  The resent one I found is having  glass panels that folds without any support through a sliding system.

Folding or sliding doors also beautify the interior of your house.  Comfort & convenience is also the main purpose of these doors. Sliding doors are air tight that makes it very useful for climate control at home interior. This is for sure for a house provided with sliding doors to be more effectively heated or cooled.  One the other hand it best helps in minimizing the noise that comes from outside the house…

When it came to durability, I believe they are the best! The frames and panels of these doors are gently sealed between the edges to prevent wetness and strengthening from compromising the lowered heat conductivity. The new generation of sliding doors is far more efficient then the conventional doors for insulating your home and reducing heat loss through the glass.

Interior designing! necessity or luxury?

There was a time when interior decoration is considered as a field that is concerned only for riches; people of royal heritage or people living in masons belong to the upper class of society. Most people do not decorate their houses due to low financial status, or just because of the reason that it is not the part of life in ordinary world. But with the passage of time, the industrialization & technological boom made a significant change in lifestyle of the people. Thus the domination of modern living in developed countries makes interior decoration & interior decoration an important element of the house. The choice of colors in interior decoration is a very important aspect for interior designers. Especially when the task is to make something unique in a newly constructed house. The contrast of rich & bold with white tends to give a decent solution in most of the cases; similarly the vibrant & dazzling shades make a pleasant effect to the interior of the house. But most importantly, when both of the shades are used together, it gives a real breathtaking effect.

The theme of the colors represents the taste of the occupants as well, thus people can make the use of colors in which they can feel better & give them a balanced feeling. From glass sky blues to botanical greens, the dramatic black and white, and yes light pick as well, there is a variety of colors people opt for wall painting these days. But all depends on the taste of each person. One thing i would like to suggest is, always try to use the color tone which gives a fresh effect. Don’t try to experiment with very dark colors as it is very difficult & more costly to replace it with light colors in future. I personally like white colors at every living space as it give a fresh experience at all seasons. But the self-expression & glamorous living experiences tends to make the use of unique shades of colors very popular.

These days the use of Green with white & pink with white got high fame. I personally like these tone of colors as it is refreshing. Similar is the case with light blue. all of these colors can be best suited in small living apartments, bed rooms, drawing rooms & office as well.. Light blue is always a good choice for places like bathrooms, kitchens and family living spaces. The combination of black & white is also advisable in floor & roof if you seek to add a classic effect.

You can also used the combination of Crewel Colors with seems a bit trends & suits in bed room of teen aged boys & girls. It gives a sense of stability & affection. Moreover adding a candle holders at the walls & decoration cabinets will makes the room more appealing, especially on the occasion of valentine, Christmas or any other social event. Yes! Crewel colors are a good choice for kitchen or dining spaces in a case if you need to give your house a modern look. So before remodeling your house, think wisely & select the color combination that suits your needs at its best.

Entertainment room & living spaces

Modern designers are stressing upon designing the entertainment area & TV space in such a way that it didn’t disturb the living rooms even if the TV is on with high volume. However one the other hand most of the people forget this most important element while designing or renovating the house. conventionally the entertainment room lies in the center of the house which is totally wrong if we see the growing living standards. most of the people in house required calm & relax environment after a busy day. so when they reached their room at night where the teens are enjoying the high volume of TV or a music player they didn’t get interrupted. this is only possible if the entertainment area is operated from the corner of the house. Yes! the latest home designs are the example where the entertainment room is built in the corner rather then right in the middle of the bedroom & drawing room.

Now coming the decoration of the entertainment room. its surely a place where we spent a good part of our day. fist of all the sitting arrangements in the entertainment room needed to be the most relaxed & tidy one. in most of the cases i recommend sofas with spring foams in it, yes a couch is also good. another good choice is air sofa, which looks so attractive. Don’t let your window treatments cover up your Pella windows because lighting is everything. but i prefer it for homes where children’s are of the age more then 10. a water pot with star fish or jelly fish makes your entertainment room more special. you can add few racks & cabins to put your CDs in a proper arrangement. most importantly don’t forget to design the TV trolley as per the space available in your living room.
