When it came to woman’s bedroom, dressing table is the mandatory item in furniture. during the past couple of years, i did many projects of renovating girls bedroom, & at every project i feel the need to came up with something unique & elegant in the furniture. seriously from the past experiences i found that it is hard to understand the taste of women. specially the dressing furniture is the item which is very prominent in the bedroom, so it must look decent with the theme of the room. dressing tables are available at various designs, from contemporary to classic, conventional to Victorian & colonial designs. each reflects different taste & style. apart from that, i always suggest custom design dressing tables for your bedroom, tell the furniture vendor your own ideas & let them make one for you. it will look more elegant then the one that you bought directly from the furniture showroom.

I believe each living space is unique & the occupants have separate requirements, the same philosophy you can apply while designing the dressing table. check the space available with you where you want to place the dressing table. yes! needles to say that the materiel (Wood or metal) is of high quality, then select the design which best suits your needs as well as looks beautiful in your bedroom, check the above picture, the design is simple but it looks very attractive, this can be both serves as dressing table & writing table, isn’t it awesome?

Calculate your budget in such a way that it is spent on priority bases. The first priority is for quality tiles & bathroom sanitary products. The second priority is for cooling & heating machines, & the third for bathroom cabinets & other accessories. These are the things that is not compromised while renovation. Another option is to make a deal with your builder for the whole project; this is good in the case if you don’t want to get into the hassle of buying bathroom, products yourself. Your contractor will do it. But check the quality of the accessories before it undergoes installation. I prefer making a check list for each task you want to do in your bathroom, monitor each task in & keep a record of each step according to its quality as it is done.

You must be curious to know that what is new about sofas in 2010, let me tell you a secret that it is not just designs that make you house unique & elegant. It is selecting right thing for the right place at the right time. It’s ok to spend on your new furniture if you have good financial resources, but as most people want to cut their home decor budget, I recommend you to wait for the yearly discounts plans that are offered by most of the vendors in UK. I know the psychology of human about home, they need to change the surrounding at the interior of the house & want something new after a couple of years. I believe changing the sofas or furniture is not a wise decision to give your house a fresh look. If your sofa is in good condition you can change to fabric & enjoy the new with your old one. Also changing the arrangements can help you in developing a new look to the interior, One of the common mistake people do is to search for the design that is uncommon in that area. In those cases no one can guarantee the quality & durability of the furniture.

These days the trends of lather sofa are at its peak, I believe it’s a good option if we compare it some conventional fabric sofas. But you need to know the quality of original product before buying one. keep in mind that there is a lot of difference in vinyl & leather furniture. Many vendors will claims vinyl as a pure leather so be cafe about it. Remember! a genuine leather posses a relatively rough surface, it is breathable and is not cold. When you sit on it adjusts to your body temperature. That’s the best quality of genuine lather that it is warmer in winter & cooler in the summer.

Taking about the pro & cons of lather sofa, I would say that it is good for places where of the age more then 17 are living. Its cleaning is easy as compare to fabric, one the other hand it’s not a great choice for houses where the kids & pets rules

1.Paint Light - Paint Right: paint one of the wall the you believes is the center of attraction when you enters the room. use light shade color in contrast with the entire paint of the room. there are many cool paint designers who paint the wall with unique texture instead of just applying regular coat of the paint. select the paint theme & texture according to the use of the room.

2. Remove Extra Furniture: A room with excessive furniture looks like an inventory store. that’s why i always prefer to keep less furniture. this is good in two ways, first it allows more space in the room for exercise & other activities. second it is easy to clean the room provided with less furniture. yes it gives the room a fresh & spacious look.

3. Rearrange The Furniture: Changing the placement of your furniture is always good after a couple of months. it gives you a fresh feeling. so try to arrange it in such a way that it looks elegant. making intriguing angles from the furniture is preferred as it looks good in any living space . make sure that there is no hurdles due to your arrangement for coming in or leaving out. Seriously you will love the new layout of your room.

4. Add Indoor plant: Green always looks elegant in rooms. so bring in your favorite indoor plant, there are many beautiful wooden & aluminum plant cabinets in the market, buy one according to your taste & place your plant in it. i prefer silk plants as it looks more fresh as compare to the others.

5: Lamps & Wall Paintings: Hang your favorite wall painting in the middle of the wall, remove sticking pads notes & other pictures from your walls, i always advise not to use glue for sticking your picture to the walls, maybe you feel good with it but i am not sure the others will like it. place your picture in table frame & place it in the bookshelves or decorating cabinet. add the lamps, add new bulbs in it & place it wherever you feel convenient.

The steps mentioned above can easily be done in 3 hours & required very limited budget. so if you are expecting some special guests in the morning then you still have a lot of of time for your home makeover.

The color & design of curtain depends upon the place where you want to use it. A curtain which is used in bedroom is different from that of drawing room & children’s room. However the main factor that we must have to make sure before buying is, easy to maintain & handle. Note that there are many varieties of curtains in the market, always stress for the one which is made from best quality fabric & easy to wash. One the other hand, the installation of curtains is also a piece of art. For instance, there are different varieties of poles that are used to hang curtains, metal coated is preferred but if you have little budget you can use wooden or even plastic poles. So use the one which best suits with the theme of the room.

Eye lits curtains are famous these days, they are convenient as well, it seems me that it will continue its fame in 2010; you can easily take down these curtains for cleaning, it looks elegant in every living space. while using lits curtains, I recommend high weight fabrics for drawing rooms as they looks luxurious, also best for big halls. However the type of fabric depends on your own taste; here is my pefrences, silks for drawing room & TV room while & cotton for living rooms.

Selecting the right coffee table depends upon how many persons are expected to use it. For instance if there are 5 people living in a house then you are supposed to select 6 persons dining unit, always keep one spare for guests. Secondly the size & shape of table varies from place to place. If there is no separate dining room in the house then there is dining furniture that can be used, in most of the residential flats these days, the kitchen & the dining area are combined. So in a situation like this, we came up with selective dining furniture. All we need is to maintain the maximum comfort level & convenient in it. Use table mats if necessary but it is not mandatory. Elegant furniture looks great without accessories.

If you cant afford to spare a room for library & bookshelves. You can make it at your living room. I always suggest to choose corners for this purpose, the size of the bookshelves depends upon the size of your room & the empty space you has in your bedroom. OK as i mentioned earlier this is going to be a wooden shelf. i suggest you to keep the natural wooden color for the bookshelf. don’t make it more higher then the ground nor much lower that one can feel uncomfortable while placing books. anyways you can help yourself out to find the best angle in this regard. always choose qualified carpenter to make it. the design should be anything of your choice.

I know the use of lanterns is not common, specially at the occasion of Christmas, but you see how it add the beauty at your house interior. you know lantern is used in china at one of their religious event. now you might assume what kind of lanterns we use for our interior, so help yourself out in this regard, you can find different varieties of it in the market. if you have tight budget then you can also choose paper lantern which are cheaper as compare to other ones. however you can use glass-metal lanterns for indoor & the paper lanterns for outdoor that are good to decorate any outdoor plant. marry Christmas in advance!!

For instance you are selecting wooded furniture, now remember that there are many types of woods which is used to made beds & other conventional furniture. If you don’t know about the attributes of different woods, help yourself out & understand them by searching the web. Choose the wood which is durable & most suitable for furniture manufacturing. This will be surely the lifetime purchase for furniture as it will serve you lifetime. The design & color of the furniture is another factor, it depends upon your own taste, and there are no limitations in selecting the furniture designs. But learn the theme of your walls & floor & choose the furniture accordingly. Don’t go for excessive & useless furniture to fill empty spaces in the house. Make smart decisions & always make decent choice. It is always good to keep little but quality furniture in the bedrooms & living spaces.
